September 12-13, 2012
Shanghai, China
ORGANIZERS: Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Queen's University Belfast
CO-ORGANIZERS: Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Shanghai University, Chongqing University, Southeastern University, Hunan University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Herriot Watt University, Bradford University, Lancaster University
CO-SPONSORS: National Natural Science Foundation of China, Research Councils UK
The 2012 Science Bridge Forum to be held in Shanghai in September 2012, aims to bring together key figures from the public sector, from academia and from industry, in order to discuss the crucial role of science, innovation and technology in driving growth of the two countries, in the meantime to profile the excellence of the UK China Science Bridge partnerships and seek support and funding to sustain and build upon these established Research & Technology Development (RTD) based partnerships with leading institutions and companies in China and UK. This forum will be held jointly along with the second International Conference on Intelligent Computing for Sustainable Energy and Environment (ICSEE’12), which aim to bring together researchers and practitioners in the field of intelligent computing theory and methodology with applications to sustainable energy and environment from all over the world. These build upon the success of 2010 ICSEE conference and a series of Science Bridge workshops, technical exchanges within the research community will take in the form of keynote speeches, panel and round-table discussions, special sessions and workshops, as well as oral and poster presentations. In addition, participants will be treated with a series of social functions, receptions and networking sessions, which will serve as a vital channel to establish new connections, foster everlasting friendships, and forge collaborations among fellow counterparts.
